Boy....I couldnt agree more on finding a reasonable person to talk to in this world.

The only thing I can add is to find a reasonable person WITH EXPERIENCE....those are an especially rare commodity today. They are often not attainable to us guys, in the field. :laughing:

Ya, some days you win the lottery and get both.

I just pray for even a complete inexperienced newbie that's WILLING TO TRY, and can see past the red tape and BS enforced by companies like JD corporate, Telus, Garmin, oh, and now.....Gator Attachments. More to follow.

That's were the misconception is.....

THE DEALERS buy from JD. The customer buys from the dealers. This disconnect between corporate and local is what breeds this pisspoor service - this way it can me made to be no one's problem, and there are many reasons why this 'isn't a warranty issue, or there's no recall on that, or you'll have to go to your dealer at 110$ per hour shop rate'. JD, Ford, GM, Dodge - all the same.

Corporate IS NOT kind to the dealers either - threats of pulling franchise rights, warranty payment hold backs, etc. Having said that, the dealers are far from poor, and when/if they want to they always can 'make things right' on their dime, in the hopes that maybe the guy that needs help with the HST on his CUT may come in a year later and buy a $400,000 combine.

It's very frustrating.

This is why Markham Welding was such a true gem, and an example of how a business SHOULD be run. Apple is the same way, on a much greater scale. There's no BS.

I had a problem with one of my tractors and my dealer was the one who put corporate in touch with ME! Problem got resolved and they made sure I was happy.
