Anyone ever straighten a twisted FEL?

The moral of the story is the OP could have just bought a new FEL but he fixed it like 90% of the other posters on here would have liked to try to do had they possessed the knowledge and gumption the OP has.

So what ever he did apparently saved him about $4000 so it was well worth the effort despite the metallurgic gossip he just went and did something instead of micro analyzing it day in day out. :thumbsup:

Well I thank you. A complete new loader is $5500 ... if I would have bought just the loader, no mounting brackets.... $3800

The dealer said the Mfg was out of stock and could be 60 days for a new one or I could go with an off brand ... Anyway I forced it back into shape and you know you can not even tell that at one time it was bad. AND the cash is still in my hand!!!
