Loader Kubota quick attach

The nice thing is the Kubota has the skid steer standard so you can use a ton of different items that can be found on Ebay, Craigslist, etc for a decent price. Well worth the few extra $ if you ask me.

The B series loaders do not have the skid steer style. You have to go to the L's to get that. Therefore you are limited to the attachments you get get for the B's. They work alright but are not as convenient as the SS type.

A quick attach that is not the SS type is simply not worth the time or money. Many different ways of doing the same thing. Why would you not take advantage of a system that offers the most options. I do not need to own a $2500.00 Bobcat posthole attachment ; but I like the idea of renting one. I have also borrowed a landscape rake that used the Bobcat ouick attach on the loader.Brooms and a bale spear also come to mind. When it comes time to sell or trade it is a nice selling point.

Yup JD has a funny Q/A that nobody uses. Its nice I suppose to drop your bucket but its inconvenient to borrow attachments.

Almost all Kubotas have the skidsteer which I for one don't like, as the euro quicktach is the standard up here. My other tractor is euro and all my neighbours are eurotach. The M series up here all come with eurotach but my LA853 loader doesn't.

The Quick Attach Standard, (Bobcat style), is SAE J2513. If it conforms to J2513, you are in business to plug and play.

Here are the standard dimensions:

Nobody in the tractor business uses besides JD. Almost all the CUT manufacturers except JD use the skidsteer q/a so we can all share implements but JD owners are left out. It also makes it harder for them to buy extra buckets, forks, etc.

Nobody?:confused2::confused2: Lot's of nobody's in the JD forum:laughing:

My tractor is great, the only issue is the pedal. It almost always coast and I have to apply pressure to the pedal in the opposite direction to stop.

You may well be aware of this, but there is a grease fitting under the deck where the pedal pivots. If you aren't greasing that, it may be your problem. Mine does not coast at all now, but was doing that. Then I couldn't get it to start until I finally got lucky and hit the pedal. Mentioned it to the dealer and he showed me the fitting and have not had a problem since.

Thank you Ku Gator, I have applied grease, then thought maybe too much grease and sand/dirt combo, therefore cleaned area and reapplied grease.
Problem continues (475 hours later ), but thanks to your input I will try again.
Quick attach issue: what is the answer?

Can you list a "ton" of items you could use on a small tractor? Just about anything you'd find on CL or eBay will be to big and heavy. There are three basic thing that work well on small tractors-bucket, forks, and small grapples.

It was a general comment toward the SS attachment system in general and I personally consider my L series tractor a small tractor and there are a LOT of items that work on the SS system for it. Yes buckets are one thing, but there are SO many different buckets one can not lump them all together. Would you use a 96" mulch bucket for digging a trench - I would not...These "basic" things come in so many forms that some owners may want more than one - I do.
As for things that can be used on the front SS attachment system:
Rock bucket
Root rake
stump bucket
mulch bucket
forks
small man lift
boom pole
rake
bale spear
Front brush
front snow plow
As well as anything you can dream up - the attachment plate can be purchased for about $140 (delivered) and you can weld anything you want or can thing of to it.
So a blade weights a good 500lbs, a nice grapple 400+, throw in a decent set of forks at 400, then lets say a light rake at 250, man lift 300, bale spear, 75, and a reg bucket 225, 125 for a boom pole and look - over a TON...... of implements.....

As for where to find them, I bought a HD fork set off Craigslist, more than one bucket off Ebay and seen a LOT of other items that would work fine on my tractor. The point of the statement is to suggest to other users some POSSIBLE sources of implements that may fit their needs and wants. Not everyone wants and needs the same thing so saying "Just about anything you find... will be too big and heavy" is an incorrect statement and sort of misleading. What is too heavy for me may work for you so I am trying to be general to help the OP as well as any other person reading this, even if what they own is slightly different.
