Harbor Freight Tools that don't suck

The % off coupons are in every magazine you pick up. I bet the restrictions that were mentioned above are not corperate policy. I don't think stacking coupons was ever part of the rules. You can make ten seperate purchases and use a coupon each time, though. They got tougher on this since they started reading the barcode on the coupons.

The real pain in the rear is that each purchase with a coupon is handled as a seperate transaction. So if you use 5 coupons for 5 different items you walk out with 5 seperate receipts. When using a CC that means 5 different card swipes. Annoying.

This coupon (if you can read it!) includes the list of ineligible items I saw taped to the counter. I thought I also saw carport canopies, trailers, and other over-$50 items on the list as well.

I've been impressed with HF's short extension cords. Appear to be very well made and are unusually flexible. The 10 foot 14 gauge is often on sale for $4.99. I have several in the shop for my various power tools, plus the HF float battery charger on the tractor and they have held up well over the years. Handy when you don't need a 50 footer.

The only problem I've had witht heir cords are if you use them enough (plugging and unplugging things) they tend to loose their grip to hold a plug in and I have to tie a knot to hold the cords together if I'm doing something that'll pull on the cord.

Well the first report of this was in California by California and I went in my local store in South Carolina today and saw the same signs....

HF in Westland, MI has the sign, also, today. I wish I had a copy, as I don't recall the details. They were taking 20% coupons on larger items like table saws, etc.

I got a free multimeter for buying a 29 cent paintbrush.

I knew it was only a matter of time bef they smartened up. They were jusy trying to get the general tool buying public accustomed to shopping there and then Bang, pull all the sales and deals out fr under you!

Just bought a couple HF 48" bar clamps for $10 a piece to build a door and they worked out fantastic.

I can see some future projects that will benefit too.
