I may be half blind but I do not see any paper clip to click on.
None in a NEW POST window
None in the reply window
When I use the "post reply" or the "quote" ... not the quick reply its right next to the smilie on the top bar ...
When I click the paper clip it opens the window to manage attactchments ...

yooper1, Good job and a much needed thread in this section. Can you add/cover how to re-size a photo before posting? On other photo forums that I belong to it is mandatory only to post photos of 640x480 pixels or smaller. I understand that TBN to my knowledge has no rule to this effect so until that ever happens, perhaps address it as "a courtesy" to those viewers who for one reason or another can only access the internet on a very slow dial-up connection?

There are various programs, some free, some for purchase, that are good for resizing a photo. One thing to know though, is that just reducing a picture's visual size may not also reduce the file size much. Every time I post a picture I decide how large the picture needs to be so it can be useful for its intended purpose, then I reduce the size to that smaller pixel count. I then use file compression to reduce the file size, and preview it on screen to be sure that did not change its usefulness. On most pictures you can not tell the difference before and after reasonable compression when viewing on a PC screen, but it can make a large difference in the file size.
I won't recommend any particular photo editing program. There are too many out there each with their own proponents. My point here is to simply make sure you check your file size before submitting it to see that you really did reduce it. I try to take into account those with slower connection speeds with each picture, and apologize for the larger ones but sometimes they just need to be that way. Things like scanned text for example need to be large to be useful. Of course even those larger ones have been run through compression to reduce their file size from the original.

Well, without trying to cover so many programs out there I will show how you can edit / resize a photo once it has been placed on the Photobucket site.
When you are viewing the page on PhotoBucket that has the desired photo you want to resize, click on the EDIT link above that photo:
and you will get this page:
where you see the choices in the upper tool bar.
You can either click on the RESIZE icon or use the SLIDER to the right hand side.
When you click the RESIZE icon you will get this page:
where you can either enter the desired size (height & width) in the appropriate boxes
or
You can use the SLIDER off to the right to make adjustments.
Then once you have resized it, (whichever way you chose) you need to click the BLUE REPLACE ORIGINAL button on the bottom of that screen
And the newly sized photo may take "awhile" to show it is resized if you already posted it somewhere on the web.
It is just a matter of time to allow the new size to catch up with the posted url.
(If you did not post it before resizing, you will have no problem)
Resizing using MS Paint:
A quick note about resizing with MSPaint.
When viewing photo choose IMAGE and then select RESIZE / SKEW
and you will see this pop up where you can input the percentage you want to resize the photo by
and then just click FILE and scroll down to SAVE (or SAVE AS if you want to rename it)
