Spray on barn insulation

I'm still trying to finish my garage project and looking to move on to the next stage - Insulation. I priced out the DYI kits From Tiger Foam ($7500 for 6 inches ceiling) and from local Icenne contractor which included 6.25 closed cell fire retardant and 1.5 inch on side walls for $5100. Go figure check around.

That is pretty much what I have seen in the Atlanta area. As cheap ore cheaper to hire it out.

We had our house sprayed by a local contractor. They used the Certainteed brand Spray Foam (CertaSpray). The contractor stated that he liked working with the CertaSpray better than Icynene. Works well, we are happy with our insulation so far.

I've had other life issues keep me from finishing all the electrical work in my barn, so I haven't done anything yet. About the best price I've gotten is for an Amish company that does nothing but spray insulation in barns. They told me that I'd be looking between $8,000 to $10,000. That just seems high to me. Actually, right now it's priced high enough to be a deal killer. Since I don't live in the barn, it falls under a "want" and not a "need". That's an awful lot of money for a "want".
