H - cable

I too would rather have more, smaller pictures. If I need, want bigger, I'd simple ask the OP for a copy.

H, 1.5 mbps DSL

1.4 mbps verison mifi wireless while on the road. For those of you that "can only get satelite" try the verizon or sprint mifi devices. I use mine all the time while fishing, hunting, or traveling for work. It is awesome and definately beats my old satelite connection.

Wow, so many dial-up lines. I never would have guessed. Also interesting how H is not close to equal.

Now:
H= FIOS - 15m down/2m up...love it but my computer is too slow ;)

Past:
H= DSL - 4m/768k was much better than cable but FIOS was similar price after they ran the fiber
H= Cable ?m/384k you could tell when people were home seeing it was shared

I don't want to remember dial-up days....

h

I intentionally put a lower case h as my 1.5 mp DSL is only barely considered high speed by today's standards. It's the absolute fastest thing available where I live. Qwest is happy to sell me up to 5 mp, but due to my location I won't get any better performance than I have right now.

H-wildblue pretty pathetic!

I read TBN on iPhone, 3G speeds are 10 times faster than wildblue. Sat is only option at house, cell phone does not work there, but it does in the deer blind! :))

Ya-know, when I switched from DU about 7 years ago to broadband I just got the lowest ( 1.5 ) actually back then there were only 2 choices of DSL speed the lowest and highest speed, now last month I called my provider (WStream) and asked could I pump it up to the next speed because I had talked to a WStream service tech and he advised there were many more Mp of speed available now, and he thought that the next one up shouldn't cost over 5.00 more, anyway! after going from 1.50 to 3.05 ( Double speed ) the actual increase in cost was a mere 4 cents,:cool: Now why wouldn't Wstream have advised me earlier about me having the ability to get higher speeds for only Penny's more....:thumbsup:

H-DSL, I thought surveys were not allowed on TBN.
