 After a few years of searching and several tractors I finally have my BX23 outfitted for winter. I have had fleeting moments when I was content with my snow removal setup however they would vanish almost every time I visited this websight (and others).
It started five years ago with a deere 316 that I had a cab and a snowblower for I was totally happy . Then one day I was surfin the NET and found this websight. I sold the 316 to buy a bx23 and used the front bucket and rr boxblade for snow,
not to bad. My new house had a 700 ft driveway so backing up got to be a pain in the neck. I sold a few of my toys and deer parts and bought a Polaris with a plow, it is very fast and fun for smaller amounts of snow not the best for deep snow. I needed another blower so I found a deere 318 and snowblower, found out blowing snow without a cab sucks. Sold the 318 to buy a blade for the front of the BX that combo worked very well however I started visiting this webpage and saw a few guys had cabs with heat and decided that is what I needed. I started looking an found out that cabs are hard to come by and are very expensive, it was also impossible to buy a snowblower 6 month wait. Found a g1800 with low hours 4 hour drive one way to pick it, found a cab and snow blower for it 6 hour drive one way. Had to make several pieces to make the blower work got that working well and was happy until I realized that now I had a garage full and my bX23 was just sitting all winter. Sold the g1800 and made enought to finally get a cab and blower for the bx23 after a bunch of internet searching. Now I have the heat, fr and rr wipers, fan and a flasher on the roof as well an electric chute rotater wired into a switch panel I made. I am happy for now but I think I better limit my internet time and enjoy. I did keep the fr blade for the bx I intend to use the blade the first couple of snows (I have a gravel drive) and then switch to the blower.
Sorry for the rambling message but I as you can see this websight can make a person do crazy things!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Nice setup. The skiers are going to hate you, with that setup, there is no way you are getting any snow this winter.

Looking at the background in those pics - I am not sure you can blame us for the motorcycles and 4 wheelers in the background!!

I think you might just be infected with the same sickness as the rest of us and TBN is a symptom - not the illness!

Sweet set up and nice switches!!!

How do you like the 'bota blade?? - I just got one but haven't used it on the snow yet - I was using a scraper blade which was effective but my back will be happy this winter and the tractor will love the "trip" feature of a front blade! I am hoping the riders will allow some gravel to stay on my driveway.

Sold the g1800 and made enought to finally get a cab and blower for the bx23 after a bunch of internet searching.

What kind of cab is that? And where did you get it? I have been searching on and off for years for a cab that will fit a BX23. All the ones that I have ever found fit the BX23xx models, but not the BX23's. Any info. would be greatly appreciated.

What a disappointment! Thought for sure that the OP's story was going to end with the purchase of a new B3030HSDC. lol. Welcome to the madness. I just demo'd a BX25 a my dealers today.
