A 25-30 hp tractor,,tractor that is,,is not meant for lawn mowing,unless you got a football field for a yard,,keep your old tractor,and get you a good riding mower.

Yeah those Longs are tough old tractors. I actually looked at a New Holland TC35. Pretty nice tractor, Real nice! And since Long (Farmtrac) and new holland are now owned by the same company I dont feel like sucha traitor lol.

LS tractors, of Korea, was the OEM for many, many rebranded tractors sold as certain models of McCormick, Montana, FarmTrac, etc. (the list is long). Recently, New Holland agreed to also re-brand some LS tractors. The LS common link runs through many of these brands, but that's about it.

Long tractors were manufactured in Romania by Universal UTB, A Fiat owned company. Fiat tractors were rebadged in the US and sold under the Long name. In 1990 Fiat bought a controlling interest in Ford tractors which were built by escorts in India and sold the fords under the ford name and new holland. Also when that happened, Long tractors were built by Escorts in India under the farmtrac name. Well, when Fiat/New holland were merged to CNH Global, the ford name was dropped and the New Holland brand continued. Confusing?
