Nobody's posted it yet???

Well....since I'm one of their premier customers who understands their superior quality, I received a 25% discount coupon in my email from HF! What a deal!! I think I'm going to get me one of those English Wheel thingys. I don't know what I'd use it for, but it looks cool. With that being the case, just looking at it and not using it, I'm sure it will be one of my most durable purchases yet! :D

So you feel safe buying something just to look at from HF. Somehow, given HF past tract record with you, I think it'll still let you down. But I just think of it as not money wasted but money spent so I get some entertaining reading here.

HF is on the way from my house to my parents' for Thanksgiving dinner (if I take the long way). I'm sitting here trying to decide what I should get with my 25% off coupon. Maybe I'll try my luck again on a cordless drill.

I buy HF stuff....or junk if that is what some would rather I refer their stuff to. Just bought a pancake compressor yesterday for $39....I occasionally have the need to take my finishing air nailer to projects outside of the shop. I plugged it in and gave it a nailing test....it past its initial test just fine. Now if I were a contractor that had to use and depend on it daily.....a different case no doubt.

As with all of my tools....I don't depend on them to secure a paycheck so for the most part HF is working O.K. for me.

Great conversation piece for a barbeque or family get together. Run a contest to see who can figure out what it's used for.

I have managed to avoid owning one of those but I couldn't make it past the tubing roller/bender thingy while on sale plus a 20% coupon. It now sits in an unopened box in the garage next to the large HF gear puller thingy unopened box.:ashamed:

Sounds like the one I got also. wiched cheap and light.I did a roof with it it ran almost copnstantly, and it was hot outside so I was a bit concerned about it over heating , so I would nail a few and slow down a bit. but its well worth it.
this is mine
3 Gallon, 100 PSI Oilless Pancake Air Compressor
paid about 39 I think..

Two years ago my daughter bought me the pickup truck box extender thingy that mounts in the hitch receiver and provides a support for long items. It was a Christmas present, and the box was sealed, so I brought it home and set it in a corner of my shoop until I needed it. Six months later, when I opened it to use it, I discovered it was missing the the main piece of tubing. It was just not in the box, and there was no evidence that it ever escaped, I even had the order paperwork. Harbor Freight refused to do anything, claiming it was "out of warranty." I explained this was not a warranty claim- they insisted it was. Buying the part would have cost $5 less than my daughter paid for the whole assembly, and i would have had to pay shipping on top of that! The parts which i can't use are sitting in my salvaged metal pile. Now I make it a point to at least open and verify all parts are in the box from HF, even if i'm not going to assemble or use it right away.

I bought this
40" Bending Brake
The box was heavy and UPS delivered it and I didnt have to sign I opened it that night and found one handle missing. Knowing that it had just been delivered I tried to call the local UPS but could only talk to the 800 people so I called HF and they said contact UPS which I did and filed a report and claim they assigned me a number for the claim.
All emails I still have. well a few weks later I tried to check on the status and they said there was no cloaim
I emailed them and they said ther ewas no claim evene though I had the original number and letter.. so then they say they will honor it but need a value for the handle. I said I have no idea what china would charge and they said 15 dollars would cover it.
I waited and still nothing after 3 months.
her I am 2 years later with no handle and HF refused to do anything other than say contact UPS. I will now occasionally send UPS an email asking the status and they reply that there never was a claim.
LOL

I'd lose. I still haven't figured out what an English wheel is for.

My mostly ignorant understanding is that it is used to form sheet metal into custom curves. Takes a lot of skill to use properly. I don't know where it got the name English Wheel but I kinda like the notion of someone using one of these to form some custom metal part on a Spitfire or Rolls Royce.
