Hello Boys, I do have some clarifications to make so be patient with me. Oh and thank you all for you responses but we do need to keep it business not personal Please....

First Julie is Christie's cousin, and employed by Christie so naturally in her defense she will go to her grave defending Christie and as she has never met me, true, she will believe anything told to her because of the previous forum input. And please keep in mind when no other excuses can be made people usually take the higher ground when they are told to. I know Julie only by what Christie has commented on when I worked for her but I'm not usually so quick to judge, as far as i know Julie is a hard working person who is trying to make her boss happy by making bunches of money for her. I don't know and don't care. What I do care about are you guys and making sure that you are still taken care of and getting the best product possible for your buck. And in this I will check my emails from time to time to make sure all your questions are answered to the VERY best of my ability, even though I am a substitute teacher and not a so called office manager for MARKHAM WELDING anymore I am still here for any of you if you want me! I don't believe Christie understood the rep precautions of her decisions in the long run. She has completely surrounded herself with family except for Stella, she worked for her old office. And now she is finally in her comfort zone, I really wish her luck but if i have learned anything at all in my life is these two things one, the same people you step on to get to the top, are the same people waving to you on your way down. Second, you can not stomp, lie, and beat people into submission, I did nothing wrong when I worked for you, if you didn't get the attention or respect from people that you maybe felt you deserved then maybe you should have showed up at the shop more days so they could have met you, maybe if you have been more involved in your business or answered your phone when we tried calling, I wouldn't have had to act like I was still the owner and made decisions that demanded attention then not at the convenience of when you decided to show up or answer your phone. and that is the real problem I would not do some of the things you asked of me because my conscience would not allow me to and for that I do apologize I was wrong. And yes I was tired, I was burnt out, you made me that way , not the vendors or customers I dealt with, you did. You sucked all the good, fun ad right out of my job. And for that you have to sleep at night you know you where wrong no matter what you tell people or who you bribe to believe it. Me and Chrystal both loved you like family and covered your *** more time then you will ever know. But I've said what I feel, finally and now I'm taking the higher ground and closing the subject of you. You are a closed topic. In order for me to go back to me I need to let go of you. It will now be easier then I though, my heart is lighter, my head quit pounding and I have a smile on my face brighter then the northern lights! Thank you boys for helping, because you did more then you will ever know!
So here we go,

DANGERDOC- We signed no paperwork what so ever- it was all verbal, My bad I know.
CRAZYAL- Call Greg 336-859-4333
He was married to Christine not Christie
HARLEY MONSTER, I love you dearly, but please be nice
JGRREED- You are truly top notch first class all the way! I will take you up on your vacation offer as soon as we get on our feet! Thank you so much! OH and Greg is Cliffs cousin not brother.
SCOTTY370- It was friends like you that made Markham a success, Thank you!
DON87 Thank you for the other half, they needed to see that.
ISLANDTRACTOR-peacemaker as usual- thank you
TOMH- You are the reason i don't sleep, its my obsession really, the thought I had to leave you guys without. But now i realize i can still help, from here. I so love you, and thank you so much for your comments!

I loved my job, I loved the thought that I was helping fit a man and his tractor with the very best , IMO, attachment no matter what, i felt good knowing I didn't sell you to much, or sold you something you might not need. You boys did more for me then pay my bills. You gave me a reason for getting up every morning and going to the office. I truly love each and every one of you and miss you all dearly. My life has been made so much better because of all you. Each and every one of you, even Island Tractor. Thank you.

I think this thread is on the edge of one that should be closed. We all have a pretty good idea of the answer to the OP's question. Friction between new and former owners of any acquisition is pretty much the norm rather than the exception since they both have their own ideas of how to do things. Still, the former owners are pretty much indispensable during the transition. In this case, Markham had built a lot of good will thru customer service and running a lean operation to keep costs down. The new owner may have other aspects of the business they would like to emphasis and that we may come to appreciate. In any event, flogging this one particuliar customer service issue is making one side look obsessive and the other side unprofessional by allowing themselves to get publicly dragged into. I suggest they both walk away from it without further comment because it is a no win situation in a forum like this.

I think you're right. Forums like this are a great place to share information and advise. Dirty laundry really doesn't belong. I don't mind people coming here to sell goods but I also look at what they write for to decide just how truthful I feel they are. I recently bought a Plasma cutter from Everlast because I read most of Marks posts and felt what he had posted to be honest. I haven't got that feeling yet from the new owners, Gator equipment. As people here buy from them and post about it that could change.

To Melissa. I hope all works out for you in the long run.

Yep, Time to close up. All that needs to be said has been said. Anything else can be said in a PM, not out in the open.

Also agree...this has no place on TBN and should be closed before someone calls a lawyer...

Judging from the tone of this letter, I'd guess that the Markhams' chose the "Highway" option.

Super late to jump in, but this letter is about as poorly written as I've seen.

Security cameras enhancing customer service?

Vast experience because??

I for one took nothing of value from the words written in this letter.

As I've not been a customer I've got no skin in the game, but with a letter like that floating around, unlikely I'd become a customer.

Joel
