I finally pulled the trigger on a new Kubota RTV 1140CPX and I love it! It arrived yesterday afternoon and I have already put 2 hours on the clock. The headlights are pretty impressive in my dark woods. I got a great deal from Farmbelt Equipment and felt the RTV was my best option out of the UTV's I considered. Enjoy the pictures!

Very nice, I look at those things every time I go to the Kubota dealership.

Congratulations!!! It's cold here today but when Grands came we had to drive it back up the mountain (hill) and down to the creek. I asked my neighbor if he had been to Barlows yet, he said he just got back from Barlows and bought a RTV900 for delivery I believe Friday. It was the RTV900 that was in Barlows showroom/office/parts dept when I bought my 1140.

Here are pictures of my top. I bought a 2ft x 4ft piece of plexiglass yesterday for $35 which I'm going to make a windshield for it. Plan to put strips of velcro up bar and on plexiglas .

Great pictures, John. I haven't decided what / if I'm going to do for a top or windshield. I mostly need a top for the hot summer days so I'll have to think about it in the spring. I'm sure your neighbor is going to enjoy his 900 as much as we enjoy the 1140. I haven't had a chance to convert it to the long bed yet but I plan to try that this weekend.
I just noticed that your camo has the dark brush guard and my orange has the lighter color.

Nice Lawrence! I can just bet you'll be thinking up all kinds of new jobs to do with it.

Congratulations...you will enjoy this machine.

I had the dealer install the factory canopy on mine. The summers in east Texas are also very hot so I considered the top a necessity, not an option.

Nice. I like your top. I reapplied mine today using velcro to attach it (The bottom pad for a tent) and I added the windshield with velcro. The windshield is 24"x48"x1/4" plexiglas. At the bottom of the bars the 48" just barely made it but the top bars taper down to 46". Need to grind off upper corners of windshield.
Anyone: Any great ideas of the best easiest way to grind off some plexiglas corners?
Also need mirror that will clamp on roll bar. Any suggestions? Cheap. I can find the $50 to $75 ones myself.

Plexiglass corners:
Yeah, try a belt sander. Slowly roll it from parallel with an edge to cutting into the corner. Rough in the radius then try to perfect it when you get close with less pressure. Careful not to stop movement or you will make it flat, unless that is what you need. Might have to file the finish if you are really picky like me. Good luck:thumbsup:

Thanks. I have a benchtop belt sander and the hand belt sander. One of them should do the job.
