Garage entry problem

I had home made bean soup with no meat and canned pumpkin in it to thicken it. She said it was good for me. Blaaaak!

OK, we'll admit that you might have cause to be grumpy for a few days, but that ends with the weekend.:D

Ya thats what I want is an ice ramp when trying to get my tractor through a door.

Wedge, I don't get the "ice ramp" thing you mentioned. A couple of timbers set in stepdown fashion up against the concrete floor?

Da-Yupper Dave mentioned (in jest I guess) that he would just "pank" down a a bunch of snow to make a ramp. Packed snow is ice and slippery. That was what I was talking about.

I believe if it was me I would build some forms for crusher run. And knowing myself I might get around to pouring concrete in 5 or 10 years. :D

I also have tons of dirt and when I need a temporary ramp, I use dirt. Smooth with the FEL and pack with the tractor. The dirt is free and can easily be removed when you are ready to pour.

Dirt is what construction jobs use for temporary ramps to access dumpsters, grades, etc.

After all, you are going to be driving a TRACTOR over the ramp. They do not get stuck as easily as a car.

Of course it will work, but our point was the crusher run will not muddy up his garage floor, and can be a permanent solution if he so chooses, it is also very inexpensive, and the remainder of a single dump truck load is useful for other things. Lots of ways to skin the cat, but in my opinion the crusher run is a cheap, quick and elegant solution. It is what I would do (did).:)
