Kubota rear pto won't disengage

Hello. I am new to the forum. thanks in advance for any information.

I have a 2005 Kubota B7510 HSD with approximately 300 total hours. It has been a real little champ for the past 3 years. But the last time I used it with the brush mower, the rear pto stuck. It runs perfectly and sounds OK, but the lever will not go past the neutral point and won't disengage. Stays in 540 RPM all the time. The foot clutch disengages the pto normally, but the lever won't disengage. The lever moves to the neutral (disengaged) position and pto still stays engaged. The lever will not go forward into the high speed pto position. I operated it for about 4 hours to finish a job and it all the tractor seemed to work OK except for pto not disengaging.

A brief look under the tractor shows nothing loose. The lever moves the shaft normally. There does not appear to be an adjustment cable such as people with larger or older Kubotas speak of, but I am no expert on Kubotas.

Any words to the wise will be appreciated.

Hi i got the same tractor b7510 hst . Did you hear something when you you put the pto on its happen to me and the fork inside was broken . To replace it they have to split the tractor BIG JOB but it was under warranty .When i put the pto on i press the clutch but did not wait i put the pto in gear and i hear a noise ( grinding gears ) and the fork fork broke . The replacement fork is bigger than the old one . Sorry for my english . GOOD LOCK

Any luck fixing your tractor ? I seem to have the same problem.

I have a brand new KubotaL3800-- only has 12 hours-- and the same thing happened to me this afternoon. Was mowing the field and when I went to stop the tractor, the PTO would not disengage. I wasn't sure what to do. When I finally just turned the key off there was a big bang as if the rotors on the brush hog hit something. I immediately got out the manual to see if there was anything in the troubleshoot section about this but there wasn't a thing. I tried turning the tractor on and off a couple more times but nothing would get the PTO to disengage. The PTO shift lever felt like it didn't do a thing.

new? 12 hours old? I'd be calling my dealer!!! and doing nothing else!

normally better to start your own post... but anyway.. this looks like a dealer / warranty issue to me!

Keep the cable (hst model) lubed up. Make sure the Spring by the engine is in place (lube that too). Check that the cable is still held in places by the nuts... if all else fails, look over how to adjust the cable. Some instructions are in this thread (diagram on post #13):
