Dumbest Thing you have done with your tractor

I can't say that I've ever had my foot stuck like that. but I've owned cars I could for sure touch the back of the front tire while most of my body was at the open door or somewhere near the seat or floor board.. I remember a 84 pontiac sunbird i had that i was constantly have to tweak around under the dash around the pedal area to keep the electrics going, so remember laying on the side of the seat with legs on the ground or being half in the floor board and bracking a foot against a tire to reah a lil farther..

so.. never having done the roll over deal.. I'd say it is at least plausible or within the realm of possibility. for sure not going to go hunt down a small car to test it :)

had a 2009 kia ( died in a fender bender... wife setting at a red light and a large car tapped her from the rear and actually did enough damage to total the value of the car :( ) and from the hinge of the open door I could reach darn near the front of the hood if I leanded over :) I sure don't miss that car....

Again...bullsh*t.

If you own a car, I suggest sitting in the driver's seat, put on your seatbelt, putting your left foot out the door, and pushing the car backwards by shoving your foot forwards relative to the direction of the car. Make sure you do this down a slight hill. When you get up a good head of speed, push your left foot REALLY far forward. Make sure you're wearing sneakers laced up tight for the full effect to hit you. Then, after your trip to the ER, come back and apologize. Have a nice day!

The dumbest thing I have done is when I had the front forks on the loader. I tossed some junk hay bales out in a field and for some stupid reason decided to use the forks at a high rate of speed to fling the bales around and spread them across the field. Everything was working fine till I hit a low spot while the tip of the fork was low to the ground. The forks I have are hollow and it folded the one fork right up:eek: So I had it straightened and used it like that till I found a dealer that could order a replacement. Of course the replacement bent as well as I lifted more then it was rated for:eek: I really am not too happy with the design of these forks but I plan to get some solid forks to replace the hollow ones at some point.

Luckily the only thing damaged was the fork as it buried itself into the ground and stopped my TN65 dead in its tracks.

Reminds me a lot of that time I tried to neuter myself with an ATC110. :D

ATC110.... Those were good little 3-wheelers. Although I never owned a 110, a couple of friends did. I had an ATC90 and a Suzuki ALT125 (Still runinng, w/o 2nd gear). Both 3-wheelers and both a blast to ride. Not like the luxury quads of today. Wish my 200sx would have high and low range like that little 90 did.

I could respond to that by telling you something like "If you had said that to a less genteel person than I, they would probably say something like 'Bite me'...but that would be unkind...and Mother Nature has already been so unkind to you that no one needs to add insult to injury."

I could, but I certainly won't. Instead, I will do as you and simply wish you a nice day also. :)

I've got to admit that I've done the "roll the car over my toes" deal too. Similar event- pushing the car backward while I was in it. Luckily I was able to roll out and pivot my foot mostly out of the way as it continued.

For those that are crying about it being impossible, in my case it was a '79 VW Dasher, and I'm over 6'.

Maybe your are short, or have a car with a longer wheel base... (or both)

Bullsh*t. That would be quite impossible.

Me: 6"2" 265lbs.
Care: 1992 Mercury Sable
Expression on my face at the time: I couldn't say, I was too busy being dragged from my seat to look in a mirror.

I call your Bullsh*t and raise you two scrapes, a bruised hip, crushed ego and a slightly twisted knee.

Ok! Ok! Apparently it can happen. Too may people have said so now for me to not believe it. I will eat crow and admit I was 100% wrong to call bullsh*t on those who said it happened to them.

To everyone that this has happened to, you have my apologies. (and possible a future in the circus :D)

I pulled a good one yesterday. While cleaning up some leftover boxes of 16' vinyl siding from the backyard, I thought if I could load the boxes lengthwise over the top of my hood and FEL then I could drive them right into the barn and avoid carrying any. Good plan...bad execution. I started to tilt the bucket but as it came up it caused one of the boxes to slide into the FEL control and it started going up causing the rest of the boxes to slide down into me. To make matters worse, it forced the ball on the lever to pop off and the lever broke through a box and stuck there! I quickly shut the tractor off and was able to lift the boxes off to one side so I could lower the FEL. I hope nobody saw that whole ordeal. :ashamed:
