Keeping your cool is important when you want nice clean cuts.

so is a nice, gentle, trigger action:)

Victor. 3150 mixing chamber, with a CA1050 cutting head.

no wonder it looked so familiar, it's what i pick up every time i use one at work.

btw, is that your shop?

Speaking of torches, I picked up a Radnor 350-510 a few weeks back and was wondering if anybody knew where they where made. Only thing I could find was on the box and all it said was "A Victor Product".

Radnor is Airgas's Private label name. The Radnor Torch is Private Labeled Victor Product.

The Radnor Victor is a Private label product made in one of the 3 Thermadyne China Plants. Soon to be brought back to the states. Thermadyne like Lincoln and others has 20 + Plants all over the world. look at a piece of literature and it lists many of the factories. It is still repairable stuff with Built in Flash Arrestors and Check Valves but it has a lessor plating and lower buck knobs compared to the regular Victor stuff. The CutSkill or Radnor tips are now back being made in the states. The whole idea behind the " CutSkill " Victor which is also Radnor is simply to compete with the 50+ Chinese plants that make Victor Look A likes like Bernz o Matic, Hobart and the low Cost Polish made Harris gas apparatus and the newly outsourced Smith Equipment.

...and the newly outsourced Smith Equipment.

YoYo,

Based on your earlier statements about Smith outsourcing their
manufacturing. I contacted my local Smith Equipment Sales Rep. the
following was his response. Again I suggest you check you homework.

Ron,

Good to hear from you.

Smith is still made in Watertown South Dakota.

I would be interested in knowing what sites you saw this on.

Have a great Christmas!

Thanks,
Joe
