Had to get load of round bales home from the south farm before the snow storm coming later today thru Monday sets in. The goats are lookin excited to get another bale. I picked up this dual spear on ebay. I can spear large rounds or squares. :thumbsup:

There is some waste but a lot less than feeding in cattle type round bale feeder. It helps keep the hay off the ground and keeps the goats from climbing on top of the bale. They take a while to eat it all so keeping a roof over it helps keep it a little drier. I am on my third bale. They are lasting close to 3 weeks a bale. Saves a lot time doing chores if I only feed a bale every 2 to 3 weeks. Goats are sure getting fat though.:laughing:
