Hello to all Minnesotans and Wisconinites. If you have time to post some pictures of the big snow storm and your snow removal efforts, that would be great.

I'm in Wisconsin now for training but don't have the ability to add pics here. I'd like to see some shots of the Metrodome. Don't think the guy that manages that facility is having a very good day..... :ashamed:

Just read about the roof collapsing on the internet today. You are right, will be a real nightmare. I'd like to see some pics of it as well.

If I remember right it has collasped once before due to snow. They had to get guys up there and hand shovel out the snow, and if I remember right , the dome got tore up from it and the fabric panels had to be replaced. This was back in the mid eighties. Could also be my imagination.
The perfect excuse for a new Vikings facility.

I bet the Vikings are playing an away game today.

Just take the dome off and play football the way it was meant to be played.
The vikings game is postponed at least till tomorrow.

It will be played in Detroit tomorrow at 7:30 eastern. Monday, 7:30 eastern.

If I would have had my camera going to work yesterday, you would have seen nothing but white here in Iowa! We only had 3 inches in my area, but had gusts of up to 60 mph winds.

Internet said they turned the heat up to 95 degrees to try and melt the snow. What it actually did was cause more snow to stick. Should have let the wind blow it off I guess.

Even better than stillshots, here's an amazing video clip taken from inside the dome that shows it collapsing. Just before it caves in, look closely and you can see someone doing a 50yd sprint along the far sideline!!!!! Maybe the vikes should sign him up??

After that video these pics will be boring!!! Here's some of the equipment the Army is using on Ft McCoy for snow removal.

One shows the boredom of an Engineer Company that has just returned from Iraq, waiting for their flight home.

Forgot to add these two pictures. A lot of loaders working the parking lots with these wide snow blades. They clean up a parking lot in no time.

I read in the paper it's like the forth time due to snow.

They will never learn.
Our Montreal stadium, built for Expo 67 has had so many roofs that I lost count.
All I know is that we are still paying for that showpiece that never can earn a living, never mind break even.
And again, we also need another new roof as the present one is deemed unsafe.
Powers to be claim that we'd get decent revenues if we would have a permanent new roof.

While profit or losses are based on existing quotations it is funny how every project ends up with 50-70% cost over runs, and we get billed mega $ for every quotation.*

Seems we could have BIGFOOT demos and all sorts of car shows etc.

* funny. when I did business, nobody ever paid me for quoting.

The tires are Goodyear Xtra-Trac Terras there a bar-turf tire. I didnt like them last summer when I got the tractor, but it turns out they are excellent for snow, my tires hardly slip. No need for chains.
