The teeth on my excavator are worn quite bad and need to be replaced. I can see that there is some sort of pin holding them on, but am not quite sure how to remove it. Can I just drive this pin one way or another or does it screw in? Thanks in advance for any help.

Most of the pins drive out.

It is a roll pin, a rolled up tight coil of steel that was driven into place. I advise soiking them with penetrating rust oil, beating crap out of the tooth and driving them out with a sledge and punch from either direction. You may have to work it both ways. Drive the new pins in with a hammer and punch, and yes you must get new roll pins. Id advise doing it on the machine with the teeth at chest level. Wear ear protection as the bucket acts as a massive echo chamber. Did three changes on my old kx121 this way, good luck.
