XT40 Side X Side Winch remote

I went to use my remote for my winch and nothing. I changed out the remotes batteries and still nothing. Anyone have any ideas or suggestions for troubleshooting this issue?

Found the directions and figured it out. I didn't remember that you had to hold down both buttons to activate the remote.

Glad you worked it out. Be careful when using the remote around water and mud as they will flat kill it if it drops out of your hand. You might want to consider buying and installing a hard wired remote as a backup. Have fun!

Sure have. Not for hauling out a stuck Mule but for around a dozen+ stumps down over a bank in our creek and several firewood logs up to where I could cut and load in the truck. Not my first winch but my first Warn winch.

Good eye, GL! Those photos were taken last spring during the attachment and if you see any dirt at all on the winch, it's shop dust. I had a real struggle finding a proper mounting plate because I wanted the winch located forward of the bumper and out of that very cramped p*ss poor engineered Kawasaki-provided cavity.
