Here is some details.

The Club Weider Rack was sold, but never received cash and took it apart. I lost the bolts to put it back together so I had to do something with it. The rack was used for the pivot/lift arm, angle brace on it, and for the stabilizer/outriggers. Both are totally removable for when I throw the kids in it and drag them around.

The lawn mower was sort of a donor. We used motor and mowing deck on different project and didn't know what to do with it. We always needed a small trailer around here and then it was born. Of course it is obvious I used the lawn mower frame, axles, steering linkage (steer tires turn when tongue turns), and battery compartment.

i saw a guy rooting through my grannies garbage can about 45 years ago. when i told her about it she said not to worry... 'if there's anything in there he can use, he's welcome to it'.

Reminds me of the hog butcher, use everything but the squeal.

That is sweet, gonna have to make me one out of the dead rider I have. I was looking at a few place that sell those, but at ~$3.5-5k they could keep them even if they were a little bigger.

If you have it build it.

If I could do it over I might make the bed a foot narrower. No reason just think it would look better and give it a longer look. It measures 4 feet wide x 5 feet long x 16 inches tall in front and sides. Then slopes down to 12 inches tall at the end with a 12 inch removable tailgate.

I might also have made the square tubing extandable sort of like crossed between a cherry picker and a receiver hitch. Then it would reach out in different lengths to pick up farther or closer to wagon when lifting from side. Might redo it later or make another wagon all together.

I think next I'm going to make 1 or 2 baskets for it. Example: 2 feet wide x 2 feet deep x 2 feet tall. Then I can put stuff in it and pick it up from side with winch and put in wagon.

__________________ Jumper cables I have came out of a trash can! They are hand made outa some heavy elec braided cable. Spring in one red clamp was a little weak and still is, I'v only had them probably 30 years, so havn't had time to replace it yet :confused2: I use red on ground and when you jump anything, it's just like you changed batteries! I have taped them a few times  :D

That is so true. There used to be a town dumpster in town every spring and summer for clean up. I used to go down there and rummage through it.

I found 3 working bagless vacuum cleaners. All they needed was some dog hair cleaned out of them dust blowed out.

I found a treadmill with a good motor that I used on my air compressor, I also found the frame of an dixon zero turn mower.

I found an electric black and decker sander that just need cleaning the drywall dust out of.

I found a full roll of copper electrical wire 12-2 romex that you could just tell that it had been in storage for quite awhile. I also found a bundle of 1/2" PVC electric conduit. Looks like someone just bought a bundle and used one out of the whole thing.

Chad

On Topic. That's a great trailer you made.

I was rock haulin one time (driving a dump truck) and stopped to get lunch at this fast food place. While I was sitting there feeding my face I seen a guy come out of the gift shop next store and throw 18 glass chess board sets away. The things are like $20+ each. My buddy grabbed a stick and started hooking the handles on the boxes pitching them out to me. We split them and sold them $10 a peice. I kept one that I have till this day and that was 6-8 yrs ago.
