Hi all,
We bought the remanants of a dairy farm in northcentral Wisconsin about 4 years ago. We have 58 acres, with ~35 acres of formerly tilled fields that are now quack grass. The remainder is mostly rough pasture.
We bought a 1958 Case 311 soon after moving to the farm. Implements include a 7' back blade, 5' roto tiller & 5' rotary mower. I grew up on dairy farms in New England in the 1960-70s and am familiar with most farm operations. I've worked with older equipment but have drifted away from farm machinery in the past 20 yrs.
The old Case has proved to be too light for snow movement (at least without chains). We are interested in moving up to a newer tractor in the near future. I'll post in an appropriate formum for assistance on that purchase.
This is a neat site. I look forward to learning more and hopefully contributing as time passes.
Intended uses include snow removal on 300yd driveway and around b
