Is this what your injection pump looks like? it is one of a kind. You cant put in a bigger one or even find another one with ease. I do have a source for a new one but it costs some $600. Plus you have to send in the old pump or you add $100 to that. Just speaking from experiences with my fuel injection pump.
Yea that's it, Turns out the thing wouldn't start the other day and when I checked the fuel coming out of the pump, it was just oozing out so I guess it's the perfect time to rebuild it and modify it if posible. The plastic intake manifold looks like it flows pretty good but the intake ports could use a little porting, Anyone know how much material between the ports and water jacket and where I can get a kit for it, one place quoted me $600 to rebuild it, hate to see what the charge for a bigger 8 cyl.

I payed just a little over $600 for a brand new injection pump. Now, How does the fuel spirt out? Mine has small spirts and with the injection lines removed the fuel will spirt up 2-4". Rebuilding it just cant be worth it if you can get a new unit for the same price.

Here are pictures of my fuel injection pump prior to installing it. I tried 2 used pumps but they both failed to work properly and were really wore so going new was my last option. My original pump was corroded very badly and impossible to repair or rebuild. My tractor sat outside for 15 some years. before I got it.

SPURT?, I am lucky to get an ooze. Where did you buy the new pump. The place near me that can rebuild it also said that they can give it 15-20% more fuel so if I port the heads to match the air flow to fuel delivery, I should get the extra 2-3 hp without smoke that I was looking for.

I got my new pump here Oregon Fuel Injection, diesel fuel injection pump, turbo, injector and diesel performance product specialist. . It was a special order but it came straight from the manufacturer, Zexel. Its model number is NP - PFR3KD55 / 1NP7. With what you are trying to accomplish really has me confused. 2-3 extra hp isnt much. What are you trying to get better power out of? the hydraulics? the PTO? 2-3 hp is only 21 hp at most. the difference betwen 18 and 21 is very insignifigant. With hydraulics you can add shims or something to that matter that would better your hydraulic preformace.

Better PTO power, my back up power runs off the PTO and just barely has enough snot, I also want to add a bucket and PTO pump for it that requires about 25 hp so I don't think I can squeeze 25-27 hp out of it but will take what I can get. Who knows, maybe I'll find a cam too.

Turning up the injector pump and clean up the manifold will get you a few hp , but turbocharging is the only way to go for more power, then constant power would take its toll on the cooling system and you would have to fabricate most of the plumbing. It would be better to just trade for a larger tractor. I sounds like you use this generator a lot. Or maybe just get a stand alone engine to run the generator. Much cheaper in the long run and they are available with gear reduction units.

Lets try to solve the PTO demand HP problem from another angle. The loader on the tractor is not going to require more HP. The 20KW generator is the beast. With your present load on the 10KW generator have you tried load shedding. This means staggering the demand loads so that they do not all come on at once. Unless you are trying to run a big operation then you need to go to a standby unit.

The panel is already set up for prioritized cicuits my geothermal unit required 10 KW on emergengy (electric element) on back up. I am trying to figure out the load of the heatpump when not operating on emergency element backup.
Still need some more gutts to it, wants to stall in 6 inches of grass, lifting the post hole digger so I can imagine how bad it would be with a loader bucket on it. Thought about adapting a turbo from a small 4 banger car but not sure of the sizes or even if there is a turbo that will fit the small 18 horse diesel?
Turns out my pump went t!ts up so gonna rebuild her and they can juice it up about 20% during the rebuild so that may even take care of the power problem.
