Any other Kubota's power steering "hit a stop" for a moment?

I have this problem with my new L3540, and I have found on my machine the problem only occurs if I have alot of weight on the front end loader. I had my tractor checked by two different dealers as I was worried something was wrong. The good news is it seems to be a normal characteristic of the tractor and not a problem. Both dealers checked hydraulic pressure, hydraulic flow rate, steering cylinder seals, etc and everything checked out fine. Also both dealers took a brand new machine off there lot and compared steering operation to confirm its just normal operation under load in my case anyway.
My tractor currently has 65 hours on it and I have had no serious issues other than just learning to live with the ocasional "hiccup" in the steering.
I have been treated extremly well by the second dealer and feel very comfortable in there opinion on this issue.

No response from my dealer yet. Prob due to holidays.

I've had that happen once in a while on both the BX (500 hrs) and the L4610 (1,000 hrs). Only for an instant and always when there's a load in the FEL, so power steering is working its hardest to turn the wheels. Figured it means more rpm (greater hyd flow) is needed. It's probably better to increase rpm's some when you know you'll be lifting heavy stuff with the FEL. Never thought of it as much of an issue.

I ran into this problem once on my BX23. I was working it pretty hard leveling a gravel parking lot and noticed it a couple times when I was simultaniously working the FEL, HST and steering together.
The BX's use a priority valve to meter hydraulic power between the steering circuit and the rest of the implement control circuits (FEL, 3ph, BH etc.) so I attributed this very rare occurance to that. BX's have only one outboard pump to provide power for all hydro functions as well as functioning a a precharge pump for the HST hydro circuit, I'm unaware if the larger B's & L's are similar and/or have the priority valve setup.
Anways, yes, I've experinced this a time or two :D

I have also seen this on my L3400 about 6 or 8 times in 50+ hours. I think each time I was also running lower rpm's with a loaded bucket and low speed steering. Like others, I was unable to duplicate the problem, and the duration of the event was just a fraction of a second. Although hard to remember for sure, it seems to me it occured more in the first 25 or so hours than the latter. But that might not be the actual case, only a perception, or perhaps I am running the rpm's up a little more now.

I sometimes feel this "bumping" on my B3030 when I move a heavy loaded bucket while steering under motion. I assumed it was momentary hydraulic pressure fluctuations in the power steering. It will be interesting to hear what your dealer says.

I have the same problem on my -3 series Grand L3540HST tractor. I took delivery of this tractor in January of 2010 and have logged over 165 hours since then. It is exactly as you have described - I can never make it happen on purpose, but it does occur on occasion.

Will be very interested to hear what you find out.

Thanks for the post!

It's happened only once right at 100hrs on the L3940 for just for a second.

Kobuta Tee :I've had this happen when mowing w/a RM59 [and no loader]. So I'll also be watching to see if any other issues arise.

Still no response from my dealer yet; Still prob due to holidays.

I did notice today, though, that the steering "bump" seemed to occur most often while turning while going forward just after having been backing up. Like the transition from backing to forward is a little too much for the tractor's hydraulics. I foresee this getting to where I can actually make it happen.
