Snowblower Snowblower PTO shaft ??

Remember the other precautionary measure is to let the first few inches of snow in the season accumulate and pack down with the car tires. This will give you a little buffer between the rocks and snowblower.

Not such a good idea for us as our driveway gains about 600 feet in elevation. Packing it down, results in one very slippery driveway, especially on the final grade which is much steeper than I'd like. Also, the surface isn't as flat as I'd like but has become slightly rutted over the past 5-6 years so that there is a hump in the middle. When I plow I tend to scrape that down to the gravel long before I get the material off of the tire tracks.

I'm still hoping someone can point me in the right direction so that I can either purchase a shaft with a friction clutch on it or a friction clutch that can be attached to my existing shaft.

Here is a side view drawing of a limited slip friction disc clutch.

You can attach it to your present shaft after measuring
to cut the shaft or buy a complete unit from a lot of different suppliers.
Including ken sweet who is a sponsor of the forum in good standing and sells the
line of snow blowers you have I believe.

Ken would know what you need right off and could ship everything to you.
