Kubota HST 8200
I am looking for a shop drawing or detailed dimensions for a Roll bar for a late 80's HST B8200. I would be interested in purchasing a used ROP If I could find one. But I expect I can make one much cheaper. If anyone knows where I could get this info I would appreciate it if you would let me know.

Dave,

I'm of no help on the plans. But from what I have read, agricultural engineers advise against trying to build your own. There are a lot of issues regarding design, materials, construction, etc. that can compromise safety.

Retro-fit ROPS are apparently available for your tractor.
ROPS Guide

Building your own may be less expensive upfront, but it may be a lot more expensive if it fails when it is needed.

Just my :2cents:

You might be surprised at the affordable price... see a kubota dealer and ask.

I appreciate the info. I am really just as interested in the ROP for mounting work lights for attachments as I am for the roll-over protection. I will have a look at the suggested websites.

Thanks

"National data suggests that 1 of every 10 tractor operators overturns a tractor in his or her lifetime."

So the study was only done on people who have completed one lifetime then? ;)

I shouldn't joke because this is serious business. My factory ROPS is mounted with something like 12 bolts from all different angles. On most home built ROPS failures I have seen, the mounting proves to be the weak point. I guess it is the last thing people think about. Just something to keep in mind.
