don't have a bulge in the tire do ya?

soundguy

I have never seen or felt anything. You got me thinking that maybe I slipt a belt inside the tire and it's out of round???

I also wanted to add you can see the front end axle shaking when the tractor is in operation.

Jinman nailed what causes 90 percent of the noise and vibration when operating on hard surfaces. My less than 50hr Kubota already sets up a pretty good vibration and it's more a reflection of the (brand) tires on the front than anything else. From past experience I know it will only get more pronounced over the life of the tires as well.

The only other likely thing I can think of is to check all the front axle attachment adjustments (when weather permits). The pivot has a play adjustment and if it's off it'll shake the front end. I'd go over every other bolt as well on the front-end just for peace of mind while I was at it. The pivot and toe adjustments should be in your manual BTW I should think.

if you think it's a bent hub or similar.. pull the rim and tire off and observe the hub to see if it runs true.

I have R-1 ag tires but the vibration is worse now than versus when the tractor was new. Tractor only has 150 hours on it.

I still think I did something to the tractor when i tried to pull that guys lift out. It was on rock hard soil and I was really getting into it.

In a way the vibration is somewhat similar to when a posi rearend starts to go out and it starts grabbing.

I'm going to lift up the front end this weekend in the garage and see if I can hear anything.

From what the last two guys said, it's probably good to also check your lug bolts for tightness. I don't think that's it, but since it is so easy to check, why not? We'd all feel silly if that's what it turned out to be.

good point. I've had rear lugs loose and it 'felt' like a loose hub.. etc..

Been there done that-I'm a master of that it seems. I already checked all the chassis and wheel bolts last year.

Depending on the weather I might check everything out this weekend. I have a dial indicator and will check the front hub.
