Yes, it is an LA 524. I specifically requested it because I was told it is a beefier loader. It may be a question for another thread, but did I do good?
Probably a good choice on your part, I have no experience with the LA524 loader. The LA463 (standard equip) isn't bad, but it is light on lifting power in my opinion. The 463 is built strongly enough you're unlikely to bend it, but another 300-400 pounds of lift capacity would be nice.
Having said that, if you didn't already do it you may want to consider loading the rear tires. Even with loaded rear R1's, my L3400 will still pick one rear tire off the ground (maybe both) if the bucket lip hooks on something in the ground while curling the bucket. I don't like having to use a counterweight on the 3ph, it's in the way more often than not.
I think you'll be pretty happy with the 3400, mine hasn't given me any problems in the year and a half and 125 hours I've put on it. There are a few things I might do differently next time around, but the 3400 IS a good tractor.
