Delivery time

Finally an update on my CT440 w/cab and snowblower this morning. After much conversation with the dealer and the Bobcat district sales manager the last week they were finally able to determine that the blower which is manufactured in Kentucky somewhere isn't scheduled to be built until 2nd week of December and the tractor isn't scheduled to be built until the 2nd or 3rd week of January which may or may not be accurate as it's changed many times already apparently. Dealer then attempted to locate a CT440 w/cab at another dealer who would be willing to part with it. That hit a roadblock also. So the dealer then offered to sell me a CT445 w/cab they got in a couple weeks ago for the same priice as a CT440 w/cab if I didn't want to wait until the Jan or Feb time frame we were probably looking at. Looking at the specs I didn't see any disadvantage with basically the only significant difference being 4 additional HP so we agreed and they are going to get the loader mounted and out to me early to middle of next week. They will then pick it back up when the snowblower arrives and get that taken care of and bring it back. I don't like that everything took this long but I'm glad my dealer stepped up and took care of it and made sure that I didn't have to wait until who knows when if I didn't want to. As far as the snowblower, no snow yet and nothing in the forecast so shouldn't be a problem for awhile.


Edit: I spoke to soon more issues now that will hopefully get figured out Monday or I may indeed have to wait till late January

It turned out they had two 445's (one new and a 2009) and apparently a different salesman had sold the new one late in the day and the store manager and my salesman were not aware when they called me with the info and offer. The other 445 is a 2009 that has 35 hours on it that was demo'd a few times. I'm thinking that one isn't a deal as it is already nearly two years old in model year and shows it. It's possible they may give me a new 450 they have on the lot for the same deal or a small premium but I won't know until Monday some time what they offer. Sounds like they are waiting for a loader on that unit which may cause a delay on that unit also. I guess we'll see what happens. Kind of a downer as I thought it was all settled and than the second call came with the bad news. Hope I get good news on Monday!

I hope they take care of you on Moinday. The 450 would be a sweet upgrade if they will do it for basically even money.

The saga continues...

So Monday morning comes and I find out that getting a 9TL for the 450 was probably going to take a few weeks so I suggested (with some reluctance as it has some rust on it) that they pull the loader off the 2009 445 setting beside it. He tells me they can probably do that but let him do some more digging and he'll call me Tuesday (today). So he calls me this morning and says that he took one last crack at it and called to talk to a production manager in Minnesota this morning and amazing enough my 440 is going to be built this week. If that happens as they say, it should be at the dealer he's hoping by end of next week at the latest. I was very pleased to get that news but am puzzled as to why just a couple days ago Bobcat was telling them it would not be built until 2nd or 3rd week of January. I guess someone finally talked to the right person to get this done. In the end, I don't care how it happened as long as I get this thing soon. Funny how waiting for a tractor makes a grown man feel like a young child who can't wait for Christmas

It may not to hurt to ask if your tractor is being shipped via the North Pole....

In a Christmas miracle my CT440 finally arrived at my dealer on 12/23. I have not seen it yet as I've been gone for the holidays but should be delivered during the first week of January by my dealer. Can't wait to see it!

Got my CT440 delivered a couple weeks ago and today the Snow Blower finally arrived. It was a long wait since Sept but I gotta say that I love the tractor so far and look forward to many hours of use. :thumbsup:
