Delivery time

I will say this... What puzzles me is that my dealer checked with Bobcat the day before I ordered and estimated 4 to 5 weeks. How than are we at nearly 8 weeks and still waiting? How do you get off on your estimate that far? What changed in that one day between the inquiry and the next day of the order? I can understand you might me be off a week or so but how do you get off 3 or 4 weeks or nearly double the original estimate? Good thing I wasn't desperate to get this thing. :confused2:

I think I would contact Bobcat direct and let them know how you feel, maybe they can make it happen or at least give you a discount on something

Ask the salesmen to tell you when the production date / week will be. Mine was built the week of Nov 14th 2009 and delivered by the dealer December 23rd 2009.

I think I may contact Bobcat directly and bug them to give me an estimate of when this thing will finally get to the dealer. I talked to the salesman on Thursday and he tells me--I thought it would be here already since they estimated the first two weeks of Nov. Basically telling me that he didn't hold alot of confidence in arrival this week with Thanksgiving but he cant imagine any later than the 1st of December. I have to say i'm not feeling to well about that answer since it seems to me that he doesn't have a clue and is just telling me crap to push me off. I've been very nice and patient with them so far but I'm not sure I'm going to continue to be that way as this drags on. I think I'll give them until Tuesday afternoon and if I've heard nothing, I'm going to call and see what kind of answers I can get from Bobcat directly. What makes me wonder about all this is how can one have any confidence in a company or dealer when things like this happen before you even take delivery of a product? Sure doesn't give much confidence.

Ask your dealer to call Bobcat's Dealer Call Center. He can find out if it has been shipped.
If you ask me I think this is more a salesman/dealer not following through, more than a Bobcat issue.
Granted the cab tractors have been hard to get a hold of, but answers sure haven't been.

My new tractor arrived in Whitehorse approximately 6 weeks after ordering: so the dealer's estimate was accurate. The one issue is that I ordered the tractor with a front hydraulic kit to control the snow blade that I also ordered at the same. It turns out that with the new style FEL there is a different hydraulic kit for this loader. So guess what the factory sent the old style kit for the dealer to install. Now I have to wait another week or more till the new kit arrives. It so happens we are having fairly heavy snowfall and I could really use the tractor and snow blade now, but will have to wait till the parts arrive.

Ordered my 235 on Nov 09, and it is expected by Dec 14.... He sold 6 others during the same week, so hopefully that is enough for a couple of full trailers to come our way.
