O.K. Good, I was worried there was some new way to market fuel, like every thing else these days, smaller quanity for more money.

I don't grocery shop much, but had to pick up a few things and man the loafs of bread looked really small, can of coffee, (use to call it a pound) is like 10 ounces. Even the Premium silicone caulk we use is now ~ an ounce short.

Over 3200+ miles.Getting 18.9 average on paper figuers and lie-o-meter traffic and highway combined.Once again haven't towed anything yet. So far so good. Really liking new 6.7 "Scorpion" diesel motor(time will tell ).Pics taken maybe 3 weeks ago.Sorry bout dash pics kinda blurry.Just a "plain jane" white work truck.
BTW road diesel around these parts(SW FLA.) now $3.49 9/10 a gallon.

Congrats on the new truck. They sure are fun to drive. Have you taken it off road yet. I've just driven through the field and didn't need the 4wd. Kinda scared to play with it in any serious way when their so new.

I know what you mean.I bought a bag of potatoe chips the other day.It was more like buying a bag of air with potatoe chips in it.

Congrats on the new truck. They sure are fun to drive. Have you taken it off road yet. I've just driven through the field and didn't need the 4wd. Kinda scared to play with it in any serious way when their so new.

Big Bri: I use the 4wd(high range) almost every day down a trail of what we call sugar sand .Bad stuff down here in SW. Fla. If not I would get stuck in 2wd.In not too serious way good to play(try-em out a bit) with them a little while their still under warrantee.

Question for other new 2011 SD owners/drivers!!.. I am wondering if anybody else is experiencing a transmission issue. I have been noticing mine will "flare" when it attempts to shift from 2-3... sometimes its so bad the trans. goes to neutral and redlines the engine. Mine is an F550 with the 300 hp. 6.7L and the new 6 speed auto trans. We have several customer that are running these trucks with the new gas engine (same transmission) and they have had some of the same issues.
We have six of these trucks and two of them are doing it.. Just curious how common this is.

My F250(diesel) 4X4 2011 has never done anything like that.First sign of something like that and I'd be camping out at my dealers doorstep.If you know what I mean. Like I have said before so far very pleased with truck.

I have heard that some people working in the oilfields of Alberta are having some problems with the new six speed. What the problems are and how many I do not know.

Probably the switch over between the hidden extra gear. In cold weather the transmission routes power through a very convoluted route to warm the transmission up quicker before beginning the normal (more efficient) power flow patterns.
