I prefer the long bed. But, I think part of the parking issue is parking density. Businesses seem to be trying to cram more stalls per area. I am surprised sometimes at how small parking spaces and driveways are, even in our PT Cruiser. Let alone the long bed quad cab truck.

I have also noted some trucks turn better than others. Given it is an old example, but I swapped my old '89 F250 from IFS to straight axle. It turned amazingly tighter. I just swapped the stock IFS for the heavier duty stock straight axle. So even within the same brand there were differences.

I have an 07 Chevy Crew cab with 6 foot bed and it has just as much room in back as in front. I would want anything any longer. It just barely parks in parking lots now with out a lot of backing up etc. and I need the whole lane so I can swing wide to get in. If it is a single lane, I cant get in without reversing a few time or coming in from opposite direction and backing in.

Here's one:

The wheels and tires on that i beleive are the ones that the loggers run on trialers around here to get rid of the duals at each point, it puts one big wide tire and aluminum rim, which lightens the trailer substanally

I bought a GMC C-4500 in 06 and had Laredo Conversions do the interior. Laredo Conversions - the Horseman's Choice I dropped the truck off myself after taking delivery on the truck in GA. The dealerships were mainly using Regency Conversions. I liked the Laredo seats much better and didn't care for the plastic wood dash overlays and all the "bling". I had air ride seats, cab, and rear suspension installed. Leather front buckets with a console and rear bench that let down into a flat bed with the touch of a button. They also installed matching carpet and floor mats. Monroe did the flatbed and the rear suspension air ride was made by Kelderman. Kelderman Air Ride

We went with a Tundra Crew Max back in '07. I miss having a full size bed sometimes, but love the truck anyway. Not a great pic for showing the truck, but you get the idea.

I've seen a number of those Tundra's out here, and that's quite a load of hay you have behind it. Since I don't own a trailer, that's another reason I prefer a long bed.

I was moving hay from the front barn to the back barn for winter. I had 120 90-100# bales on it. I wouldn't have hauled that load on the road as it was way too heavy on the front tongue. I actually ended up moving 20 bales from the front to the rear of the trailer to redistribute the weight before even moving it to the back barn. I moved the last 77 bales with the tractor 5 at a time to finish loading the trailer in the back barn for the winter.

Somebody call the cops! Someone stole half the bed on that truck!

Once you go mega cab you don't go back, even if it comes on a dodge.

I think the big cabs are great! But, I like a full 8' bed.

Wife had an '04 Ram1500 with the "quad-cab" 4-door; smaller than the Megacab. Nice to have the room. But, it was a short bed.

Our other truck, which we still have, is an '01 Ram2500 long bed quad cab, the early quad cab that is really an extra-cab with the little suicide doors. It is a long bed. I would not want to give up the long bed.

And, FWIW, I happen to like my Dodge... :D

My 07 2500 diesel mega cab has been a good trouble free truck, but over the past 110,000 miles I have missed the feel and interior of the Ford.
