ford 1900 part availability

thanks for all the help. now i got to make up my mind to purchase the tractor or not. the lift and part availability is the only thing that worries me.

That is a good price on the tractor if it is in that good of shape. The parts for the 1900 are available from N/H but pricey. If it is in good shape and maintained well parts shouldn't be an issue. These tractors are well built. I have 2600 hrs on my 1900 and it has been used hard since I have had it and abused before I got it. The bouncing you are talking about could be the adjustment on the position control link or the balance adjustment of the position control valve. If you do buy the tractor get a service manual for it.

where is the position control link or the balance adjustment at on the tractor. we have always had fords but they were the older ones like the 2 and 3000 models. thanks

There are many parts for a 1900 that are NLA from New Holland, and parts availability will get worse, not better over time. Whether or not you will ever need to find any of those parts that are unavailable is a crapshoot.

I would pass on this tractor. I had a 1700 that was a total nightmare to find parts for and when I did find them they were big $$$$.

Below you'll see 1700 position control that is no different than 1900 concept wise.

Position control fee back arm.

Ready to adjust.

link arm feed back is internally connected to lift spool valve to turn the spool to neutral position at any given height. It is manipulated mechanically by collapsible trapezoid jointed arm.

I adjusted mine to the point I can raise the lift just a hair lower than max arm travel before hyd fluid is by passes in to diffy reservoir.

thank ya'll very much for all the help. we messed with it some today with no luck, think i will half to pass on the tractor, turns out been sittin up over a year under a shed. i hate this, it is a nice tractor. thanks again.
