Have you ever tried a blower?

Got one on my 3054xs; really don't wanna buy on of them $1,000 clutch packs, to say nothing of the grief involved in changing one out

HI Patches, what do you mean about clutch packs?

Do you have a rear mount blower? How do you like it?

I have a 12 HP walk behind blower which does a very good job, tough for me to justify buying a three point blower.

I be the 3054 has plenty of HP though.

Ya, I have a Blizzard 74" 3 point. Best investment I've ever made; picked it up used from an aquaintance for $1500. It was just a year old, and probably used 5 or 6 times. The clutch pack I refered to is the drive/pto clutch assembly;maybe not a grand, but quite expensive. I've been given to understand they aren't particularly long lived in this unit :(

I get it, you mean all the back and forth driving.

I figure that's what I got it for. I have read that some have had problems. I figure if it stays adjusted right it should last a long time. I've got 162K on my original clutch in my ranger.

That's a big blower, does the 3054 spin it no problem?

You should throw a video out there, would be great to see it.

Hey Joel,
Great clip...have you figured out how to use it to get the snow off the roof? You guys have had a lot of roofs collapse down that way.
I like the video, tractors turn us into patient creatures.

Ya Joel, the tractor has no problems spinning the blower. As mentioned in another post, I usually use the 1000 pto option and run at 1550/1600 to get my 540, using low range in the heavier stuff, especially first pass. Once the snow gets to 10/12 inches deep, I'll use the 2600/540 option just so I don't put an unnecessary load on the tractor

Something over 70 roof failures

I have a colonial with steep pitch so I'm good

Many people are having ice dam problems not me thankfully

I hope this thing works at the sledding hill

Will be fun to see the kids reactions

Thanks for the kind words
