What happens to Bobcat when Kioti contract ends?

I don't think you can worry about the "what if's", there are a lot of them. When I was looking at tractors a few years ago, I looked at JD first but quickly found out that green paint took a lot of green to buy. I bought my CT230 back when they had all the super deals and saved $9k. Even at full price, BC is a lot cheaper than any of the major brands.

While my wife was not so excited about it, I think it was the best investment I have even made! Sure has saved me a lot of back breaking over the last couple fo years.

i agree not to worry too much about parts too much.....in the 14 years i had my JD870...its been i for repairs 1 time for front axel issues. there are always after market filters, switches, etc available for anything. i have a friend that rebuilds model a's.....he still finds parts for them. i dont think that they have been in production in quite a while?. The JD dealer near me are nice people, but i didnt get too friendly reception or much help when i was looking for a new cab tractor. i couldnt understand why they wern't more helpfull. the local Kubota dealer were helpfull also...but wouldnt even give a discount for cash..and no dickering on price. The guy i bought from has been selling equipment for many years. was real friendly, and has suggested ways for me to save money on options i thought i needed......we did some workarrounds . like he re-routed a set of hoses up front for a future blade tilt to work off the rear remotes (a $400.00 option) instead of the 3rd valve that i wanted to add ($1,000.00 option). im very greatfull for his assistance

Now Rick you know JD didn't take millions in bailout money. JD is the backbone of the Agriculture equipment industry in this country. There are other players but they are the stand-out. What JD did do is take advantage of a low interest government loan as part of the recovery act to expand one of their U.S plants to better leverage capacity...which puts money back into the dealership pockets (which are U.S owned) and gives farmers more capability to produce more food which puts more money into their pockets. JD has a balance sheet most companies could only dream of. That sounds like an uninformed dealer trick...you know better...

Also for whoever stated earlier that most JD's are made by Yanmar you have some homework to do as well.

I have a lot of experience with Kioti, they are solid tractors and am positive they will be around for a long time to come (no matter what color or brand they are available as).

errrrrrr.. i jave a jd870 that has yanmar stamped on most of the parts that i have seen.....not sure about the loader though. I went to my local JD dealership to look over the 4000 series tractors, and they told me that there yanmar manufactured? if they tell me that, i believed them. if yanmar doesnt make them? who does?...im not complaining that its a yanmar, as the tractor has served me well since 1996. im confused

smaller JD scuts/cuts are mostly made by yanmar...but the bulk of JD ,which is larger utility tractors/combines/etc are made by John Deere

The Bobcat deal ended in July. It was for 3 years. To my knowledge has not been renewed and Kioti has now committed to building tractors for McCormick.

Yes, Daedong builds the tractors. The company started in 1947 and produced the first agricultural tractor in 1968. I state this again. I wouldn't worry about it. The built motors and other agricultural products before 1968 also. Visit their website and do some reading on their history. I don't think they are a fly by night company.

I think that Kioti is a subsidiary of Daedong. You know, like Chevy is part of General Motors.
