Wooden,

Pics..??

How about taking it to a hyd repair shop that makes tubing assy's, it's not rocket science.....even if it's a temp repair, it'll give the dealer time to furnish one new one under warranty when new ones arrive......

Sure beats waiting......

I believe I can have it tig welded by a friend but the dealer requested I send him the old part. Trouble is , there are no JD dealers here in the Virgin Islands so I am stuck with what ever My dealer in Florida dishes out. I am trying to attatch pics but this is my first time doing that so, Wish me luck.

Making a quick fix is out of the question because its just too much work to get to the part , that I only want to do this once. I told the dealer That I will send him the old part only after I get the replacement, To which he said he cannot send the replacement unless I pay for it. Seems we are headed into a stand off, as I refuse to pay for this part.

PS. The pics are from below the seat where you can see the oil squirting out just below the bend in the tubing

Yea, split at bend near banjo end......if you TIG weld it, better call the dealer for an OK as they may not give you warranty once you strike an arc on it...

If they allow you to keep it then send to someone that has the capabilities to fix it with a new piece of tubing (slightly heavier wall thickness) ...

If your friend fixes it, you'll have to remove it to clean out oil and they can TIG it using very low amperage.....iffy but may be worth the try....

Not to worry, I will take it off to weld it should I go that way for a fix. Will just wait until tuesday, which is when the dealer said he may have word on the new part. Really don't want to do this twice.

Good idea......unfortunately there is a seam in all hyd tubing (even seamless tubing starts out being flat/rolled/welded and mandrel passed through it) and yours just happened to be stressed at the bend when manufactured new......

I'm sure the outcome will be good..!!

The word today on my new hydraulic line is, JD "may" ship it to my dealer on the 25Th. Could take a week for then to get it, which will put it here sometime a week or more from that date. Looking like mid March before I can use my tractor. Truly disappointed here folks!!

Someone should say this, so it might as well be me for once:

I see you took the picture with it running, maybe just for our sake. Be sure not to run it again if possible, and if you absolutely HAVE to run it, place a heavy towel around the leak to keep it from spraying. The danger is to your skin or eyes. If it hits your hand, or worse your eye, it will go thru and into the tissue. The surgeon must cut out all the injected tissue off your body to keep you from dying from this injection. It is very serious.

Oh my god, I have turned in to the dreaded SAFETY POLICE.

Ask the dealer to take the part off of another tractor.
