Good news I have more excuses to work. My good friend has finally set the date for his wedding of August 27 and we are going to have the reception at our house. I guess it's time to order the mulch, gravel for the driveway and start taking more trees down. I just recently purchased a BX23 and moved my B4200 12.5 hp (FEL only) to my parents. My reasoning for the 23 was it will take a lot less time to do all the tasks no she is starting to ask "I thought you said every thing was going to take less time with the new tractor" I personally think she like me out of the house.

I wondered out-loud earlier about the feasibility of a shock-absorbing top link. Lorrie said "Why don't you go ask your friends on your 'Tractor Freak Forum?' I know she'll be singing a different tune once the backhoe is set-up this spring (B/L 4520 on B7500, waiting for sub-frame). It will be her using the diesel and me painting the house and roofing the shed.

BTW, is there a Shock-absorbing top link? I'll search for that later.

Had to chuckle at that ... my wife refers to TBN as "Tractor ****".

I told the wife I was going to break up the ice on the drive and get some seat time. While I slipped into my Sudifed comma she 'did me a favor' and did it all with a shovel ....

Not a favor I wanted ...
That's amazing. My wife does the very same thing to me when it's time to clear the ice off the driveway. I come home expecting to get some quality time clearing the ice only to find out my wife did me a favor with a shovel. I told her a while back a shovel does not fit my hands very well.

Hydaulink is air over hydraulic which has shock absorbing characteristics.
HydrauLink - a self-contained air over hydraulic top link

I use to use a 1945 John Deere H to push snow in the winter as I made a front blade for it. Last spring my wife suggested I find something more reliable. I searched and searched to find a good used tractor and thought I had a deal on 1 but the guy backed out. The same tractor went up for auction so I stood in the rain to buy it but the price it sold for was to high. When I got home my wife tells me to just buy a new 1. So I find the best deal and buy my Massey, then the wife says everytime she wants something that she cannot buy it because I bought the stupid tractor. Because of all the snow this year, she not saying a word. I guess she now realizes that the Massey was a good investment.

No wife, no excuses-or good business plans-required.
The GF is pretty impressed with the walking trails I have opened up through the forest on the property too. She even tried out my snowshoes on some of the trails while I was clearing snow with the tractor last time she visited. Better than sitting in the house feeling ignored while I did the 'hard work' out in the yard:D.

When you upgrade g/f to wife she will then start complaining. And you will need the turn the radio up n that cab so you can't hear her.
