G'day $1.32.9 for diesel and $1.30.9 for 92 ulp a litre over here where i am at the moment, that is why i am glad both my car and ute are on lpg 58.9c a litre but i am lucky as i have a large roadhouse on the way to work and they are on average 5 - 8 cents per litre cheaper than in town. I do on average 600 to 650 km a week for about $60 sure is cheaper than fuel. What gets me is that all the oil prices we see quoted over here are in US $ and if the price of diesel goes up it is because of the nth american winter but when it is over and people start to query why the price has not gone down we get told we are linked to the singapore pricing base??????????????????????? We also have pricing cycles that see's it go up on thurs/fri just in time for payday/ weekend and also about 3/4 days before holiday times but the oil co's aren't profiteering!!!!!!!!!!!!! You only have to ask them they will tell you

It's going to go up alot more than that before it starts going down. These high fuel prices will further drag down the economy. Longer term, as we slip down to a second world power economically & refuse to drill domestically, the fuel prices will continue to rise against a progressively weaker US dollar.

Bottom line is this: the scum suckers in Washington DC and in the state houses are supported by the oil companies. They also are rich and have no concept of a person going to work each day because they never have. They say buy a new car that gets better millage "it only costs $45000, thats really cheap".here in Maryland they are raising the gas tax to balance the budget and support a light rail system that runs empty all day long. We also have a law that says a gas station cannot sell much below the average price of gas in the area, they can sell for as much as they want over it. Time to replace all elected people.

We (Americans) would all have to drive more fuel efficient vehicles and drive less. That's the only way to hurt big oil profits. Less demand - lower price. Makes to much sense though - lets try something else.

Part of the state budget problems are that people are driving less (and more fuel efficient cars) so the tax revenue from gas has not kept pace and now they are trying to figure out how to add taxes so we also pay for the number of miles driven. As we get more electric cars, the state loses out on the taxes from gas and starts looking at how to tax electric car owners for the miles driven...
