It's going to go up alot more than that before it starts going down. These high fuel prices will further drag down the economy. Longer term, as we slip down to a second world power economically & refuse to drill domestically, the fuel prices will continue to rise against a progressively weaker US dollar.
Bottom line is this: the scum suckers in Washington DC and in the state houses are supported by the oil companies. They also are rich and have no concept of a person going to work each day because they never have. They say buy a new car that gets better millage "it only costs $45000, thats really cheap".here in Maryland they are raising the gas tax to balance the budget and support a light rail system that runs empty all day long. We also have a law that says a gas station cannot sell much below the average price of gas in the area, they can sell for as much as they want over it. Time to replace all elected people.
We (Americans) would all have to drive more fuel efficient vehicles and drive less. That's the only way to hurt big oil profits. Less demand - lower price. Makes to much sense though - lets try something else.
 You are sooooooo right on, our problems in this country are CAUSED BY THE IDIOTS In WASHINGTON!Amen to that! I think I will try to become a senator or rep so I can serve 1 term or less and still enjoy full benefits for the rest of my life, #$@!!! politicians=snake oil salesman
