how do you fix this?

I have a similiar issue...

Mine does not lift...

Nope. Not for you. The solution that is. Your lift cylinders are power up and gravity down, bucket tilt cylinders require power both ways. You will need a gauge and Tee fittings for trouble shooting.

Gravity down? I can do down pressure and lift the tractor. So are your sure?

The key word is require. If you can power down and lift your tractor your pistons are connected to the rods.

You are mighty confusing:confused2::confused2::confused2:

I have not seen a modern tractor or loader that is gravity down????

And especially if it is the 3720 in his signature that he is talking about.

And I also have no Idea what you are talking about "the key word is require".....Require what????

And I may be totally wrong, it I have also not seen a loader cylinder that the piston wasn't connected to the rod. Not even on common SA cylinders.

So could you further elaborate as to what in the heck you are talking about:confused2:

True. The leap is in realizing that he means the pistons have not come loose from the rods if you can power down. ;)

Thanks Larry. Oh, my MF model 85 is gravity down. Larry said what I meant. Though your loaders have double acting cylinders, it is gravity that brings them down, not hydraulic flow. Therefore, on the way down to terra firma, you could remove the pistons from the cylinders and you wouldn't know the difference. Now to pick up the front of the tractor is another story.

Yes, your bucket cylinders REQUIRE power to work both ways. Gravity will bring the loader down. Don't understand the confusion.

I understand now.

Basically, if the nut falls off, you have no way of knowing unless you try to or make a habbit of lifting the front of the tractor with the FEL. Which I often do, like when trying to dig something, or trying to bend a peice of steel, or crush something. I guess I am just so used to doing it, that I never thought about NOT doing it,
