The air bags allow one to keep the truck level at the height the front end was aligned at. Strangely, this seems to make it easier to guide the truck down the road. Of course, if the alignment was originally incorrect the guide mode may be an attention grabber!

Very nice looking Truck.

My neighbor has the same tires on his 2007 3500 GMC Dmax with SRW. Its a 4x4 and he pulls a 12,000# 5th wheel camper. Great traction but wear quickly. Not as bad as the OEM's which he got 30,000 miles out of them. These Wranglers he go 36,000 miles out of. We rotated them every other oil change but pulling the camper back and forth to FL 3 times killed them.

If you are not pulling heavy loads you may get 45,000 miles out of them.

I have a 2006 2500 HD crew cab. It has plenty of power for what I tow, a four horse Gooseneck trailer and a 24 foot gooseneck flatbed trailer hauling round hay bales and my skid steer. You should not need anything for the suspension on that pick-up. Mine pulls great but gets about 12 MPG empty and about 9 MPG pulling, but I did not buy it for gas milage. I bought it for pulling and did not want to spend the money for a diesel.

Thanks...That is the kind of report I was looking for. My tractor gets loaded over the axles of the GN trailer so I am hoping it will work out. Does anyone know if the 2005 suspension is stouter than the 2001 I had with air bags? They are the same gvwr and cab setup.

Same suspension till 2008. They made a upgrade in the rear end at that time with the new body style. They then upgraded the whole shebang in 2011 with a new chassis, front suspension, and rear suspension.

Well I bought a truck. It is a 2005 2500HD CC with 88k miles. The 6.0L seems to run good.

Nice truck. How much did you pay for it, if you don't mind my asking. That's pretty much the exact truck that I keep coming back to as I debate whether or not to get a "new" truck.

The way you see it in the pics I have around $20K in it. Some might say it was too much for what it is but I have looked all around and for the miles and condition it is in--it was the best deal I could find.

I put the firestone bags on my 04, I like it. Rides better all the time, and I keep a cheap bicycle pump under the back seat for airing up if needed. My trucks rear would sag, even at legal capacity.

Nice looking truck John! I like that body style Chevrolet and yes, it's hard to find a nice one that's for sale.

John, Run it down the road west past the green house across the old Becks creek bridge and up the hill. Pretty soft last week. Nice Truck.....
