Baby Pig. Now What?

"The adventures of a man building a RV Paradise with the help of his pig....."

NO WAY I am telling this story to our youngest. She has not REALLY wanted a pig but if I tell her a pig will follow her around like a dog I will be sunk.

I have to admit that the idea of a picture book about Oscar has crossed my mind. I was driving him home from his little stint in jail and got to laughing about how funny it was, then wondering if others might enjoy his story.

I'm thinking of titles like "I'm Not a Pig" and "I like MUD" or "Grunting your way to Happiness"

I have some notes, and I have a client who has published two books that said she'd help me if I went forward with this.

Hmmmm.....

Once the RV park is finished and open for business, Oscar would be the perfect mascot.

There could be Oscar road signs like South of the Border in SC. Signs like the old Burma Shave adverts. Website adverts with Oscar "hamming" it up. Oscar in RV magazines inviting people to come stay at his place. I can see Oscar on TV.....

I'm so glad that I'm not the only one with a run away imagination of doing crazy things with Oscar!!!!! It seems like the more I post pics of him, and talk about him, the more people ask about him and want to meet him. I have an ongoing album of him on Facebook and have had quite a few requests to create his own Facebook page. Half of my emails on there are about him, and I have friends on there that I've never met, but have heard about Oscar from others and want to see pics of him.

Not being a pig person before, I'm suprised at how many people like pigs!!!!

And in Lonesome Dove fashion you should certainly post a sign that reads, "we don't rent pigs"!:thumbsup::laughing:

Eddie, you could even have fun times at the RV park for kids and have "greased pig" wrestling matches!

Like Dan mentioned have some "Burma Shave" type signs that read, "Oscar says....

Maybe have a Southern version of the ground hog and winter/spring and have Oscar come out of his house and see if he sees his shadow...

The possibilities are endless as our imaginations and bull hockie!:laughing:
