Grapple Got a new grapple today for my cub cadet yanmar ex 450

When the galvanization wears off it will rust and that does not make it stronger, only prone to staving off rust for a time.
Sure looks like a strong grapple, even w/o the galvanization.

The hot dipped galvanized (zinc coating) are used to protect steel from corrosion. The galvanized surfarce is self sacrificing which means the coating slowly sacrifices itself to the protect the base steel. unlike paint the galvinized coating, becomes part of the steel. We have sold the galvinized cutters for about 7 yrs and we have real rocks here in middle TN, and they hold up very well! I have yet to see one rust or any of the welds crack but everybody has there own opinions

Very nice looking setup but I have just one question, where is your control for the loader/grapple?

I do like the looks of that rig.

I had to order a 3rd function valve and hoses to the front of the loader to run the grapple, its pretty nice my loader joy stick now has two little buttons that work the grapple.

Nice grapple but the galvanization is BS. Paint stops rust where it stays on and I seriously doubt a layer of zinc is going to survive much longer than paint with ground contact. If galvanized implements lasted longer don't you think we'd see more of them? Besides, whose ever heard of a grapple rusting out? Ineffective solution for a non existent problem. Marketing snakeoil.

Who pissed on all your cornflakes this morning? Give the guy a brake. I would take galvanized over paint any day. Next time you are at you local marina look at a galvanized trailer vs. a painted one.....
