I use it all year long. Never had the diesel gell YET in the winter with sub 0 temps... Cheap insurance.

Is "Power Source" the same as "Power Service" or is it a different product? Not familar with "Power Source".
Thanks, Ken

I have been using Amsoil Cetane boost and Amsoil Diesel concentrate for many years in all my diesel powered tractors and trucks. I have gotten very good results. hardly any black smoke and a smoother quieter running engine.

What you want is Power Service. I've used it in every diesel I've owned and never had issues. Just make sure you go White bottle not Red 911 bottle. While the red bottle is ok, it's for "oops" situations when you run straight diesel without winter mix and it gels on you..

It adds not only Cetane but also luberocity, which is important if you get a blend cut with K1, which has less parafins/lube.

There's a silver formula too. No anti-gel additive, so it's a bit less expensive. I use the silver jug spring/summer/fall, white jug winter. Fortunately, I've never had to buy the red jug.

Greg, good call there. I forget about that being up in the northeast.I usually have a stockpile of the white stuff and always forget they have a summer blend as well. If you have the option, I believe the summer formula actually boosts cetane more, but I could be wrong. Thanks for the addition.

Ditto good stuff:thumbsup:

Used to depend upon the mixing ratio. The labels then contained .32oz/gal and .64oz/gal instructions. But that's changed recently. Now the
white jug says .33oz/gal for cleaning + anti-get + cetane boost of 4 numbers,
silver jug says .33oz/gal for cleaning + cetane boost of 6 numbers.
