Now, if I had a smaller lift to put in the lift...... I could get my kite off those high-tension lines!

The two had attached a hydraulic lift to the front end loader of the tractor.
I wonder how much of it was a typical cobble job:confused:
BUT, as kids, I'm sure they did this all the time, even with their parents looking on saying how proud they were.:p

I was told if they were well grounded I'd be ok.:confused2:

Aside from not doing it, if I'm not sure about the safety I tend to consider it in terms of potential and kinetic energy. Obviously lifting something adds energy, the more mass, the more energy. Then, how easily could it be turned into kinetic energy and in which direction?

Now that I express it this way it seems to be excessively logical and fundamental. Although many of the sad accidents posted here resulted from energy being directed or released in an unexpected manner.

Boy I can just hear that 80 year old guy barking orders to just get up there and make the cuts.

There are a lot of creative people out there .....

how about neighbor trying to hook up an eletrical fence line. i do believe i have pictures of him attempting to do so. then again maybe not eletrical fence. but sure was getting up on top of the tractor to attach some sort of cable to the big cables out on the power pole lines. *sad part, i wish i wasn't joking* on another part wish the he would figure out how to actuall repair fence to keep his animals in for longer than a week at a time.
