Either I'm blind or the Owner's manual doesn't say; what is the wheel bolt torque for a 2210?? All I found was a reference in "Assembly" for dealer set up- "Make sure wheel bolts are tightened to proper torque" or something helpful like that. I had the front tire roll off the rim today hauling a large heaping frozen lump of snow around a turn. Had to remove the wheel and take it into the house to warm so I could get it back on the rim. First time any of the wheels had been off the machine since she was built in '04.

Only thing in the Manual is:
"Wheel hardware must be tightened to specified torque using the proper
procedure anytime it is loosened."

and

Tightness of wheel hardware must be maintained according to service interval
recommendations. Check wheel bolt tightness as follows:
Front Wheel Bolts
キ Tighten front wheel bolts alternately to 88 Nキm (65 lb-ft).
Rear Wheel Bolts
キ Tighten rear wheel bolts alternately to 88 Nキm (65 lb-ft).

I tighten them "tight" as I can.
Mark the bolts with a marker pen dot and watch to see if they loosen up.
I don't have a torque wrench but for me "tight is tight".

Sounds like a great tip !!! and I even have a torque wrench.

Shop manual shows 65lb-ft.

That's called "torque stripping" and you should use a paint marker. Run the stripe over the bolt head and on to the adjacent surface. Then it's an easy visual check...if the lines are mismatched, the bolt has loosened.

How tight is too tight? You don't want to find out, hence my torque question. THANK YOU to those who answered, will torque 65. As for the paint lines across the bolt heads, that's a pretty good idea but first I have to "erase" the original factory lines from whoever mounted the wheels when new.

Well, I never use an impact wrench to tighten wheel bolts...snug 'em, yes...but not to the final torque.
As far as the existing stripes...if they're aligned, just paint over them.

Since your 2210 and my 4010 are near the same weight machines, I'd think that the torque specs for my 4010 would work on your 2210.

My manual calls for 144 ft-lb on fronts and 81-96 ft-lb on the rears. I've had both rears off on the 4010 because one of them has to be removed for each hydraulic filter change. Have had the fronts off, too, because of tire problems there. Eventually went to tubes in the fronts to solve that problem. So, using these specs has worked well for fronts and rears, as none have come off or been stripped.

I would think it has more to do with the size of the bolt or stud than anything. Are there tables out there for sizes/class of bolt and torque values? What I am getting at is, if I have a 17mm wheel stud on a Kubota, and have the torque value from the manual, my neighbor should feel safe using that value on his Yanmar on a 17mm wheel stud. Yes? No? Just babbling to myself.
