I bought my 95 wheel hores new and it had chains on it as it was winter when i got it. I have never taken the chains off. 16 years later, still on the tractor and the tires still look new.Great traction for every use including mowing.

Where can I find knobby atv tires to fit my GT5000 Craftsman Tractor? The stock turf tires can't make the terrain, about 4 acres of sloping and rough ground. The tractor seems to have plenty of power, but just needs tires that grab and use all that horsepower.

I have Carlisle knobby tires on my Snapper and there great. They keep it going where turfs just would not. I mow ditch's and along my raised drive that always where a problem. Running them at 5psi so it ride's great. I've had bar tires on my last tractor and like these better. Got mine at a local Fleet Farm for less than a hundred for the pair. No blacktop damage or lawn damage. My Simplicity getting some this year.

I just dealt with this very issue. Look here: http://www.carlisletire.com/media/catalogs/catalog.pdf

Find the section with AT 101 Chevron. I think it is page 15. They are basically "Ag" or "Bar" tires for your riding mower. I installed mine this past weekend on my riding mower.

Keep in mind issues with tire height and clearance. I replaced with Chinese direct replacement size flat tread? (tire is supposed to be flat across). At 12 psi the tire center domed out enough to rub on the mower deck when raised. Most ATV tires have a substantial dome.

I have Duro Excavator tires on my ATV. Relatively cheap, and awesome traction. This is another Duro ATV tire "Buffalo" - looks like it would make a great lawn tractor tire.

I buy my ATV and motorcycle tires at a regular tire place. They don't have the greatest prices in the world, but order their bike/ATV from the Parts Unlimited catalog, and their standard pricing formula gives basically dealer price. I suspect this is not unusual.

ATV tires work awsome on a garden tractor. My buddy has a 3000 series Cub Cadet like me and can snowblow with no chains. He says the do minimal damage to grass, they were cheaper than bar tire garden tractor tires.

I would like a set myself for hills in my yard, the turrf tire rips up more when it spins than they do.

He bought carlisle tires and they are a radial.

mail order shadetree.com has alot of atv tires or denniskirk.com

or try a local powersport dealer they may be a ***** to mount at home

ATV tires are absolute cake to mount. Literally takes all of about 2 minutes. WAY easier than dirtbike tires, I'll tell you that. You will need to break the bead of the old ones - that might be tough if you don't have a bead-breaker:
