Backhoe Cracked plate on dipper stick.

wow! that is alot of rust and chipped paint for the new BX. Mine was never delivered like that. something is off here. Does your purchase price reflect that as a floor unit or something?

Perhaps a call to your dealer who delivered it is in order. the damage on dipper stick looks like someone was using to BH pick up something without a thumb. There is no way for the bucket to touch the dipper stick no matter how you curl /uncurl it.

...they must have a lot of nerve to deliver you a tractor in that condition.

Will give them the benefit of the doubt that it was damaged in transfer. I will call them today. My sales rep is going to be here on Sunday delivering the mower and I will send him the pictures as well. I will find out what integrity they have then.

That is supposed to be new? That is not new. My 2006 doesn't have that much damage!

After lookin at your shots, theres NO WAY i'd accept anything but a replacement hoe.Too bad you did'nt bring it to their attention as it was being delivered.But.......if he's ANY kind of a dealer he will replace it.If not,(and im not a radical kind of guy),i'd threaten to put a letter into the local paper about what kind of "deal" he gave you.Maybe that'll make him see the light.
Under no circumstances would i let them try to "fix" it.I'm pretty sure this did'nt get by Kubotas Q.A. guy at the factory.Just about had to be done by the dealer or somebody who works there. You paid good $$$$ for that thing
and i would make them make it right.

Try it the "nice" way first, and if that dont work...................

I am not going to be quick to jump to conclusions here. So I will ask you a couple of questions.

You state you bought the unit new but didn't get to see it. Was EVERYHTING supposed to be new, or did they have a "used" backhoe they sold you with a new tractor to save some $$$.

If everyting is indeed supposed to be new, I agree with the others, NO way would I accept that. If I'd have even seen that before the delivery guy left, I'd have made him load it back up on the spot.

It is obviously NOT a NEW hoe. But give the dealer a chance as others have said. It could have just been some idiot working there that loaded it and dielvered it that did the damage. If the dealer wont cooperate, a call to a reigional kubota rep should solve the issue. You paid top dollar for a NEW machine. This is obiously NOT NEW. And don't even think of trying to reair it youself. The box-tubing is crushed, and if the welds are cracked, they can be a real PITA to fix even by a good welder. They always seem to crack in the same spot again.

And whatever you do, get it resolved ASAP. You said you already have had posession for 1 week, so they may already try to say that you caused the damage because otherwise you would have called them right away.

Everything is brand new. Was ~1hr on power unit. There was a February sale at the time but I was assured it was a brand new product. I am quite certain that the coupler that was in the hoe jumped around during transit and damaged the dipper and the main. The FEL had the driveshaft and snowblower strapped in it and that had scuffing associated with it bouncing around as well but just missing paint. The strap holding the snowblower had broken off during transit and that can only be caused by a rough ride here. We are not immune to frost heaving this time of year and the roads can get rough. Aside from that, I hope the sales rep will come clean with this and do the right thing.

I'd talk to him NOW and make sure he understands he better be bringing a NEW backhoe with him...complete. They aren't hard to change.

I would politely tell them to bring you a new backhoe attachment immediately, since that is what you paid for. If they are not willing to do that, tell them to come get their tractor. When they start to argue, make it clear you that you are not backing down. Make sure you have your facts straight before you call. The longer you wait, the tougher it will be to resolve the problem

What I see in your pictures is FAR more than transport damage.
I would accept nothing short of a new backhoe. Be firm in your request. They sold you a used hoe.
