I have a oil tank outside, that I no longer use for heating my home, its like 3/4 full, the oil company told me its seasonal blend which means it is part kerosene. I can use some of this in my garage heater, but can I also use this in my Iseki/Bolens deisel tractor? Or do I need an additive added in it?

Most say you can use it as is on that old of a tractor. Me being one of them. If anything I would add something for injector pump lubricity. The other thing I would consider doing is just adding 50% diesel and 50% of the fuel you have in the tank to each fill up and running it that way.

I wouldn't hesitate to use it in mine at all. And I have run a lot of old heating oil through my old Mercedes diesel and my Isuzu NPR. Both with mechanical injection. Your tractor manual might even say it's OK to run kerosene or a blend in the winter. But if you are worried about lubrication, and I don't think you should be, pour in a little bit of 2 cycle oil with each fill.

Enjoy the "free" fuel!

The 2 concerns are; Clean? If you don't have a tank pump with an in line filter, be careful with the old crap and sludge that accumulates in the bottom of your tank, or it will give you trouble in your tractor, not to serious but a PITA. and secondly if your tractor has any (i'm sure it doesn't) have any of the fancy new emmissions controls, it will give them troubles. I order heating fuel for my off road stuff! The new "off road" is reduced sulpher and the older engines (pre emmissions) don't like it, or at least I've read that the sulpher helps with the valves
