Tractor SUpply is building a store in Alamogordo, about 15 miles from me.

There's no farm supply here, looking forward to spending money somewhere that isn't Walmart.

Yep, I've spent a few dollars with Northern Tool. Initially, when I was living out in the country 60 miles south of Dallas, I ordered my parts washer from them; didn't know they even had any stores in Texas at the time. But then I had to have a 3 ton arbor press and simply could not find one anywhere except Northern Tool and it was heavy enough (138# shipping weight) that the shipping would have cost as much as the press. Back then the press was about a hundred and shipping would have been about the same (I see now they well for about 2 hundred). Anyway, I found they had a store in Garland, so I had the store order it and I picked it up there, along with a number of other things.:laughing: And now they have a store about 10 miles south of me in Lewisville where I bought my current air-compressor, air hoses and accessories, etc.

I get the Northern Tool catalogs and just last year they put in a store about 30 miles from me. I 've checked it out a few times, wasn't really impressed with the store because it's small but they can order anything in the catalog. They have lots of good products and some cheap stuff.

We have a few Tractor Supply stores in the area but the really good farm store is Atwoods. They stock about 4 times the merchandise than TS. You can buy some good products at these stores but they still stock too much chinese made products. Unfortunately I don't think that's going to change any time soon.

There are no big box chain stores within 15 miles of me. Closest thing is a Fleet Supply about 20 miles away. TSC? About 130 miles! I'm not saying this is the end of the Earth, but you can see it from here.
